Women have come a long way, in India there was no sufragerie movement, yet and yet, there are loud broadcasts in the NEWS paper lines that women have not only broken into the ether but into the nadir as well...
One must be wondering what is all this about? Women are not only working in NASA there are some who have travelled into space . The news that women have gained the permission to work in the depths of the earth...means women have gained permission to work in the mines. This should not be a big news. Now wait...when we say gender equity are we talking of strength, power , height and weight...No No...the term is metaphorical...It means women must be accepted, respected and glorified.
In no way should they be barred from getting involved in different walk of life.They need not break into the male bastion. Women as such they need space.They should be so empowered that they should not shift from foot to foot for their moral power. To retaliate, to resist and stop the whole multitude to take them for granted.
The headline in the TOI "Are Streets Names Sexist", on 11 February, 2019, just churned my whole system...A team of 26 (Maria Pia Ercollini), went through expressing their right ...that streets should be named after women and the voice was carried everywhere. In India there were several streets of Bengaluru named after renown women.
This is where I differ...Women should be allowed to do what they want. They dare not be taken for granted. We are human beings and the female creation of The Lord Almighty...why ask for our rights.
I believe Respect is the call of the day. Women should not accept to go down into the pages of an unread book, as an instance of story.
