A LEAF OUT OF THE CHILD's DIARY TODAY

Mother shouts get up it is 6.30 am.
Time for yoga says papa.
Start preparing for school it is well past time.

Did you complete your science project?
Wear black shoes today is Tuesday.
Bus, bus, hey run for the bus.

Maa shouts what about his tiffin?
Hell won't let loose if he misses his tiffin for one day.
Huffing and puffing the child reaches the bus door.
The bag causes his imbalance.
But he manages his step.

He waves back.
There is no smile on his lips.
Monotonous waving goes on.
Maa shouts...you must get the highest in Mathematics.

Assembly time .
Everything is so blurred .
Thud comes the sound.
Class teacher steadies him.

Silence follows albeit the child's listlessness.
He just gets prepared for the class to begin.
A leaf of a child's diary.
Going through the grind of EXPECTATIONS.
